Some of the women from backward caste are still not able to make the ends meet and mostly dependent upon the upper cast to provide them work as daily labourer to earn 50 -100 rupees.

Lobzang Dolma, 85, is the eldest amongst all the nuns in Chattnyanling nunnery, Nyerma village. Earlier, she worked in the fields and on the roadside to sustain her livelihood.
